Sri Aurobindo In London
I knew precious little about Sri Aurobindo. I read about him when I decided to visit his home in London a few days ago.
Sri Aurobindo’s father had received education in England and he was so influenced by the English culture that he decided that his children must be brought up in England. So, they were sent to Manchester.
But a fourteen-year-old Aurobindo decided to work for freedom of his country. When he set his foot on Indian soil in 1893, he had a spiritual experience. He was a poet, philosopher, patriot, a Guru! And so many transitions in his life!!
In this video you will see where he stayed as a student in London from1884 to 1887.
