Your father was absolutely correct. You werent in Turin because you could mime. You were there because of a fine ability to communicate in English and manage resources , human etc. All these things like access cards, vending machines et al, will change year after year based on advancing technologies. Learning those is just part of thejob, not a requirement for it.
