Vivek Sir,
In a civilisation older than 5000 years, can we really seperate the olds from the youngs through a window of only 70-80 years ?

I think, what counts - is the contribution. Some people grow senile at 40 also , whereas some remain young at well past 80.

Of course, the process of learning is important. When I analyze, I find experience has two components - one is the realisation and the other is the knowledge. While the realisation is localised between birth to death of an individual, the knowledge component is global in scope, and needs to be seen as a continuam from Big Bang to Homosapiens to ...

I feel, experience of a man becomes counter productive when one wrongly places these two components of his own experiences.

Am I wrong?

I just read another blog where there are Vice Presidents of a corporation who are in their 20's - very rude, arrogant people. It seems children grow up too quickly and learn little in the process.

Maybe those who are older are staying in the business with walking sticks and dentures because they feel a need to guide..

I guess the youngsters will come in. In the second round !

But all said and done, this was very surprising to see such old men take the helm.

At another level, i only wonder where these men ( & women ) get their energies and motivation from ?

Power corrupts.
Absolute power - Absolutely.
Old power - For two lifetimes !

And yes sir, i am sure dentures and ear plugs will be spoken of in reverential tones !
