It is really pathetic that South African (and other) men seem to need rape/brute power to realise their masculinity. Will stereotypes never cease?
This is immensely disturbing. Equally disturbing are the frequenciies of newsitems within the last month, about women being forced to get into cars and raped by groups, here, in metros in India. Is it the very fast economic comeuppance, mindless acceptance of morals which are alien to our set-up, intoxication with money, or plain inability of parents to spare sufficient time in their kids bringing up ? I dont know. Masculinity has been there since time immemorial, so we have to see what else has changed that make men behave like beasts…
