Dr Doolittle is one of my daughter's favourite books. And Enid Blyton has a whole set of books (The Sea of Adventure; The Valley of Adventure, etc) where one of the boys, Jack, has a parrot called Kiki which invariably says ridiculous but appropriate things at all times.

BTW, nice new layout. As the fashion-pundits are saying, polka dots are back in style.
