Yeah, the value of life of common men is different in the eyes of different governments. True.

The same sentence cross my mind when the pungent smell of human blood choked my nostrils on the day of the Mumbai train blasts in 2006… even when I waited in the scorching heat for hours because the Prime Minister's royal army were crossing my way. Several other occasions as well.
But as I reflected, I questioned that isn't it we, the people who have given the Govt. the right to treat some lives as more important than others.

Where the respect for all human life doesn't come equally, isn't it our duty to demand that request from those to who we give the power? I am an ordinary Indian citizen, and I don't have all the answers to the apathy of our rulers, but I do believe that a strong public movement will be the first step in demanding from the government what is our fundamental right.

The site set up by Union Carbide at http://www.bhopal.com/chrono.htm
states that they have compensated whatever amount the litigants asked for. If that is the case, where has the money disappeared? And if they are lying through their teeth, why don't we smash them in?
