I am against any form of reservation except as a very temporary measure to get rid of inequalities. Just as the caste-based reservations come with the concept of CREAMY LAYER (that is if one generation gets the benefit, then the next will have to fight it out through fair play) [I do not know if this has been implemented at all, though], women's reservation should also come with an expiry date.

I personally support the WRBill but not the way it was cleared in RS.
Marshals in tye RS would remind one of the emergency 1n 1975.
Also, how does the bill get implemented is yet to be seen.

While the posts from the different blogs / news sites are logical, and the present day political milieu is far too obvious with nepotism and such else, the bill in my opinion, does something to galvanise women ! And certain sections of men too !

It was indeed quite something to see Sonia Gandhi push this through ! So far !

Sir, we all know there is a problem…no doubt…but my question has always been what is the correlation between the problem and the solution..
several decades of reservations for the SC/ST have only bought them contempt in the eyes of the rest…its time i leaders started "thinking out of the box"

Sir, most articles quoted by these print media houses do reflect some logical apprehensions, but my question is how do they ensure solution to this?

Reservation is just one of the possible means to achieve the end. Its one of the means to provide affirmative action to the women who had undoubtedly under patriarchal umbrella, been a subject to inequality and injustice. Reservation is not the solution but the best possible means therefore, such apprehensions are inevitable.
