But even then there were those who sabotaged those efforts and stood in line for titles from the slave masters and were very sorry when they eventually left. Today we embrace colonialism and are ready to do the bidding of our slave masters, this time willingly and happily. Until we can enforce accountability in this land, nothing will change. The clearest indicator of status in our society today is the ability to break the law with impunity. Be it the government officer with a red light on his car who drives through a red light or a chief minister who corrupts commissions of enquiry into his crimes. And the icing on the cake are those who actually get the government to commit their crimes for them so that they can retain their clean image and the victims can rage at the police or security forces. Never have so few been able to do so much to destroy so many. Jai Hind.
