My mom would always tell sister and me what to eat and what not to eat. She has a thing for sweets, but is a diabetic. Whenever she has a blood sugar test coming up- she starts reducing the amount of sweets she has (albeit furtively:)) everyday. Just after she has finished taking test, she is always to be found in 'Kalpanna Mistanna Bhandar' in Kolkata. The only thing left to be decided is 'what sweet will she have this time around' ;). Few months back, she found a man who had just finished testing before her, having 'kalakand' and 'sandesh' in same sweet shop. Since then she has started feeling less 'guilty'- is what she claims:).
