Poets are Unacknowledged Legislators
Some thoughts and some feelings, all my own:
Like I am happy that India has won first two test matches against Aussies, but who is watching Test Cricket now, except the old faithful?
Like Dr Man Mohan Singh and Sushma Swaraj engaged in a poetic duel in the parliament which reminds me of Shelley’s remark “Poets are the unacknowledged legislators of the world.”
Like I read about rape stories every day and wonder if the incident of rape has increased or the reporting of rape is increased.
Like Sushilkumar Shinde’s, [the Home Minister] gaffe in disclosing names of victims of rape is unpardonable particularly when we note that he started his career as a bailiff in sessions court, and later as a constable and Sub inspector of Police. He ought to know the Penal Code well.
Like I feel that Shiv Sena today is a spent force. And the fate of MNS also seems to be same. And unfortunately I do not see any person who can qualify to be called a ‘leader’ in Maharashtra.
Like Shah Rukh Khan says that he would be happy if his daughter Suhana becomes an actress. And I feel that he is lying.
Like Salman Khan drove his Toyota Land Cruiser, under the influence of alcohol and ran over homeless people who were sleeping on the pavement in September 2002 and the criminal case has not ended yet. The inefficiency and misuse of judicial system was never so apparent.
