Ya I have gone through this situation facing many problems in the industry,i had completed my diploma in 2016 and had given interviews in 3-4 companies got seleted also but they didn't called for joining then later on i joined NEEM through YASHASWI INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, does't know any policies abt it , but when I worked as a trainee in the company I faced many many problems like late payments, not proper communication with permanent workers, ignorance by permanent workers, being getting pressurised by the line managers for production, bad behaviours with neem trainees , and how can we complain this? There's no one who listen our voice ? Even not the NEEM officers listen to us , there was comparison between neem trainees and companies trainees and now after completion of 2 years of Neem training nobody asks us for job, not a single company takes neem candidates for job, there is still lack of employbility in our India. What's the value of education? After getting treated in such a way. I am sitting home as unemployment have a chance to join neem , but naaahhhh I'll never join this neem again .

Seriusly ,VSP yeh sting operations kyon karte ho ? We have spoken about this at length. All our brethren in the HR/ER fraternity would have got top ratings in their appraisals for the "trainee" idea. Let trainees be trainees. The days are not far before we have "permanent trainees", "temporary trainees" and "contract trainees" !

Its a sad state of affairs! Person not getting permanent till 3.5 yrs of service! what a stress a person would be going through!

What could be the possible solutions to this problem?? The employers would continue to hire "trainees" / "contractual labour" since getting rid of them is easy if the business is going through a downturn. Secondly, it also ensures that the transactional job (performed at the lowest level of hierarchy) continues to get done at lowest cost. if an employer gets a job done for 10k to 15k pm, hiring a permanent worker would mean this cost would increase steadily and may cost say around 50k in 5-7 yr period whereas external market may still continue to offer trainees at 10k-15k and contractual labour at about 10k! So whats the solution???
I guess overall economy growth is one answer - more growth means more investment, more manufacturing, more workers & supervisors and more opportunities for growth of workmen to supervisors. employers wont mind paying higher for higher order of job. When the economy is growing at 10%, there is lesser of a clamour but sustaining it at that rate is not feasible.
Second solution may be distribution of some part of profits while keeping a check on the increase in the fixed salaries - if the profits can (need to) be shared with the higher ups, some part of it may be shared with workers also. if fixed is kept low, employer wont really have to worry about hiring new trainees or to keep contract labour at minimum wage but it is quite difficult to implement. Paying 'more skilled and experienced' permanent worker 20% - 50% higher than the trainees wont pinch the employer since the cost of hiring, training, managing disputes would more than justify 50% higher cost of permanent worker.
I guess its basic human nature to get maximum benefit at 'whose-so-ever' cost. Employers wont mind exploiting the scenario if union may agree to lower fixed and share of profit. Unions won't mind arm twisting (if they have strength) to get maximum salary hikes resulting in much higher salary for the same order of job. Unions wont mind exploiting the trainees / contractual labour - if keeping the trainees at 1/5th the cost ensures higher salaries for them (permanent workmen).

I am not able to think of a solution to this problem!

First it is trust, then rust in the dust. First it is allurement, then reality. No it is not an election issue. How will politicians fund their elections otherwise? Yet, unemployment is an election issue. Humane meaningful work is not. As a people we really dream poorly. How would reality be differently poised?
