The tree you showed in the photo is not Shirish(शिरीष) but actually Vilayati Shirish(विलायती शिरीष).

Shirish(शिरीष) is native to India. It has a small, open, and light canopy.

Vilayati Shirish(विलायती शिरीष)(a.k.a Rain tree or Monkey Pod tree) as the name impies (विलायती=foreign) is not native to India. It is native to South and Central America. It has a huge umbrella shaped canopy

Both trees are a part of the Albizia Genus.
Shirish(शिरीष) = Albizia Lebbeck
Vilayati Shirish(विलायती शिरीष) = Albizia Saman

These two trees have similar flowers, leaves and seeds, but have very different sizes and canopies.

Vilayati Shirish, although not native to India, has natrualized in central parts of India.

Also, Wikipedia suggests they are of the same genus, not entirely the same. If you search Albizia Lebbeck(शिरीष) and Albizia Saman(विलायती शिरीष) on Wikipedia, you will see the difference. One is native to India while the other is native to South and Central America

The name "Rain Tree" apparently came from a fact that in some places it is infested by Cicadas, which discharge moisture in form of tiny droplets that fall somewhat like rain from tree (from Benthal, ToC).
