Dear Sir,

This was an amazing read for several reasons.It explains how intolerant the world is,how employers are scared to face the clamours of workmen and eventually the reality.The article also speaks about the desperation of worker to provide for good living for his family but which is never met due to constant exploitation.
Marx is the invisible force that you speak off but people are ignorant of his presence, and his principles.

So very well written Vivek. Passionate and shaking up ones conscience. We must start with ourselves. How do we treat our servants, drivers? etc. I see people in my building engaging 10 year old children as servants. There was a recent WhatsApp article on how even middle class Indians make their servants sit on the floor of the Delhi Metro even when the train has empty seats. Let’s all pledge to stop such things. Income disparities are at an all time high I think. We are courting disaster. Look at Mumbai. Massive high rises co exist with slums and depravation and yet there is tolerance and acceptance. It cannot last forever.

Dear Vivek,
Nice article explaining the reality. It is observed that some are aware about the said reality but helpless and some are not even aware about in what kind of society we are living. The working class is divided into classes like Vanchit, Shoshit and Sammilit and the real question is how to deal with such situation. The major portion of working class i.e. more than 70% is in the category of Vanchit and shoshit. We are also not aware or sensitive enough about the repercussions of the issue raised by you. Based on my experience I can definitely say that such situation is not due to economic compulsions but due to feudal mindset and there is a dire need to change the same.
