Thanks for attending during one of the most of important times of human lives. Views shared by all the experts are of a great value and HR leaders can plan their strategy around those. I strongly believe that alongwith HR, line managers also have to play a major role in dealing with this situation and HR leaders have to align and sensitize them with the need of hours. Partnership of all employees to tackle this situation will be crucial aspect for successfully dealing with the sever impact.

This is a great compilation from some of the leading thinkers. Very grateful for this. Every opportunity plays two roles - 1) it accelerates certain changes that were on the horizon (e.g. digital, actual work, how the work is done, etc.) AND 2) it open doors for access to desired horizons, both within organisations and for society and nations at large.
Organisations and HR will need to keep an eye on what the society will demand from organisations as the society and nation recovers (e.g. fairer society, reduced fragility when it comes to the most vulnerable, income inequality, etc.). And for leaders within organisation - this will present an opportunity to access the horizons they want to reach - whatever that golden horizon is. My Mother, for e.g. is thinking what will be the changed agenda for her child and woman welfare organisation - both as a response and to influence.
There is an opportunity for artists and leaders to help individual human beings redefine identity. Where do we find meaning and relevance from? I am sure many of us have questioned in one form or another - what do i miss most, or what do i like most in this changed situation.

Thank you for this wonderful compilation...tend to agree with everything said ...however it is very important that HR continues to guide the CEO going forward more as the profits finally come from people and not products which many CEOs fail to recognise

Thank you Vivek for this Excellent article with the views from seniors from various segments. As usual I always look forward to your valuable blogs which bring in a lot of value. Going forward the new normal is challenging but we have to face it and bounce back. Yes, as most of the organisations are acknowledging the importance of Safety and Wellness of the employees, focus is on Mental Health. Cheers !!

We are constantly anticipating and scanning environment simultaneously to formulate HR advisory to execute the business plan. While we heavily rely on our past experience the unpredictability of future invites us to think unconventionally. As business reality is dynamic our actions are also supersonic.
Thanks Mr. Patwardhan for bringing the perspectives of these HR stalwarts. This is critically need. I see sensing of the future in this article. Very relevant. Can we have some insights on the actions that are likely to be taken based on these insights. This could help HR professionals frame the policies within their own context.
One of the key future ready competencies is sensing and all of them have done a great job. Equally important is framing what we have sensed in the implementation and action plans. Would be good to know more on this as it is evolving.

Compilation of these thoughts from diverse leaders enriches us and enable to make our workplace even better.

In addition ,the Covid situation has suddenly brought a few more challenges on increased risks for certain employees/workers who have to physically be present for work like in Manufacturing , Projects etc.

Employees with Co morbidity , Pregnant women, others with low immunity are at higher risks when they move out of their homes for work. We need to redesign workplaces and procedures for special care , creating an inclusive environment to make them feel safer to come to work outside home . The Industry should definitely not tag these conditions as lack of Fitness to Work outside Home.

Hearty congratulations to you for bringing together different and useful thoughts on this vital subject.
For your efforts and for the thoughts shared by the experts, I have only one word to mention - Insightful.
In my view, in general HR is very ill equipped on all this.
More unfortunately many are unwilling to prepare themselves.
You have brought mountain to the Muhammad
Let's see what Muhammad does.
