Thank you Sir, it is always interesting to read about reading habits of others.Long ago English and Marathi dailies used to have some articles from eminent persons about what they read during the year.Your photography and reading habits are inspiring.

thanks for rekindling an old habit. I used to be a voracious reader of books and some how that habit died partly with the advent of internet. I have tried kindle but that is no match to reading a physical book.

Thanks for sharing your list Sir its very apt timing as was drawing the inputs for my reading in 2023. Few historical by authors like Vikram Sampath and Manu Pillai are already in there but your reco will add diversity especially the “must read” you mentioned.

Thanks, Vivek for this meaningful blog. I see a reflection of a number of my habits in your description of self. I have stopped buying books in the traditional book form. Reason? No space to store them! Now, only Kindle books. Exceptions? Books with maps included. Any map looks terrible on Kindle. But nothing like holding a book in one’s hands! I do still buy printed books but only a few hardbound books. Paperbacks are quite poor quality-wise. I can no longer read the smaller print with ease. 20th-century world history fascinates me. I generally read two books simultaneously, non-fiction and fiction. My current non-fiction is Black Wave by Kim Ghattas, a Lebanese author and journalist, on the rivalry between Saudi Arabia and Iran and how it came about. A superb book. Warm Regards. Sharad
