Quoting from the blog:

“This is the stark reality of industry today — a deadly combination of exploitation and numb minds that make no attempt to change the situation.”

In a country as diverse as India, where unemployment remains a pressing challenge—especially among educated youth—the unorganised sector continues to suffer silently. The exploitation of workers in such informal settings reflects the deep-rooted inequalities we must address.

Thank you sir for letting us see these issues . Hope these blogs also stir a movement.

These are powerful stories of love and loss. Of how some lives are built around others' going up in smoke.

Thank you so much for sharing sir. It is a poignant reflection on society and our collective sense of what it means to live together.

The personal stories are most interesting andinspiring
so much we tae for granted is actually questioned when we hear such things
what I particularly liked is the fact that children are getting educated and moving ahead in life
look FW to the 3rd part

This article truly opened my eyes to the struggles of beedi workers in Solapur. It’s heartbreaking to see how hard these women work, rolling thousands of beedies every day just to earn a small income. Nagesh’s mother is a great example of strength—despite her son’s success, she continues to work because it gives her confidence. The part about husbands controlling ATM cards was especially disturbing. It’s unfair how these women put in all the effort, yet someone else takes their earnings. The comparison between a rich corporator in Mumbai and a beedi-rolling corporator in Solapur really shows the difference in people’s lives. It’s good to see that education is helping some families break this cycle, but there’s still a long way to go. Looking forward to the next part.

Beedi making industry is the pioneer example of Home based industries also of the concept of Work from home . They really get poor returns of their hardship. The cass collection stopped by Central has stopped welfare activities for Beedi workers but few ofSolapur Beedi workers at least were lucky to get Low cost housing facilities . Adam Master should get the whole credit he was a voice of poor workers in assembly but unfortunately this time he couldn’t succeed.
Write up is missing the interview of Lady who has done PHD which was mentioned in last part I wa eager to know what was her suggestions for Beedi workers. Anyway your writing is really very balanced and clean. That’s why i always follow your writing. Once again thank you for enlightening the issue of home based industry and also the drawbacks of Work from home.
