Arvind and I came into contact with each other sometime during 1994…I had not realized that it had been 30 years, yet I knew much less about his experiments. Indeed a disruptor in todays language and in a very positive way. His uniqueness is that he has the interests of both the Managements and the Workmen at heart and strives to find a win win situation for both. Arvind was one of the good thinker with noble mindset. The thought process was at times to go beyond traditional frame of mind. The approach was good of all ,employees and employer. In a way idea of justice was rounded rather than winners take it all.
In fact pathways he created was holistic. Sarve sukhinah santu, Sarve santu niramaya, approach was sincerely worked on.
Persuasive coupled with long term good of the company and the workforce. Ability to blend the interest of the Company, its progress and the and that of company was uppermost in the minds of employees and that of managers was paramount. I wish many, even now can learn how common good can be achieved by genuine concern for Companies growth on one hand and being exemplary to shape common good of workforce. Wish many more can emulate many parts of Thermax.

Arvind truly is a unique personality and a leader…..he leads with heart and time. I met him a decade ago ( thanks to you VP ) and he is my go to person for perspective and advice. No charter of demands sounds unbelievable but that is the basis of creating a conducive environment to bring stake holders to the table(word negotiating avoided ) for achieving common goals. I used to face such situations when transporters would stop work and force us to hold discussions. My stand was always let work be continuous and discussions on going. Violence contaminates every thing. The approach of Arvind sir was novel and needed a high level of self confidence.
