Thank you for writing about another sector of"invisible"women workers. On one hand we want the Female Labour Force Participation to increase but at the same time we conveniently ignore that even such basics as a clean toilet with plenty of water is not available for women workers in most workplaces.Gratuity , Minimum Wage ,leave are all much above the basics and are easily denied to the contract workers.Another very important point in your observation is the woman running the household entirely on her income. Husbands either don't work or squander their income on their addictions in the lower income group. This is repeated generation after generation and the family continues to live in poverty. Wherever thehusband is supportive and is taking care of the family in lower income strata, the husband-wife duo working together are able to push the family in a better income group. This is not only a labour issue but a very important aspect of the social challenges. Thanks again for putting spotlight on this issue.

Powerful stories of systematic undercutting and exploitation - imagine changing contractors just before Diwali to avoid paying bonus. We seem to be very 'smart' about earning at the expense of others. Thank you for writing about the silent, sincere and committed workforce of women - who can't negect housework, feeding children and working, while patiently waiting for delayed salaries - they dont get drunk, they dont abandon the post - pretty much like the unknown soldier that stays put. Thank you for writing about them sir
