My Photo Journal October 2026
This month has not been good for me. For some unknown reason, I have not been active with my camera. Mark Twain did not have good things to say about October (among other months of the year). Here is his quote. How true!
“OCTOBER: This is one of the peculiarly dangerous months to speculate in stocks in. The other are July, January, September, April, November, May, March, June, December, August, and February.” – Mark Twain
Life is like that!
We see God in everything around us. That always surprises me. This tree stands near a busy street. Threads around it, and a flower placed on its roots tell the story – we see God everywhere.
This tree is at Nitin Junction in Thane city. It is a very busy junction where buses, trucks, cars and autos arrive from all directions. God ensures that hundreds of ‘dangerous occurrences’ which travellers see every day, do not get converted in an accident. Isn’t that the only possible explanation?
As my car moved from on the Eastern Express, I noticed the laundry was washed and put on the fence for drying. This tells a big story about living spaces, both the shortage and the inadequacy of it. And the quality of life (?) this city offers to the poor.
And now I present three Autumn photographs which I clicked when I was in London.
Autumn quietly and slowly paints the leaves of the trees. Here is the evidence!
Colourful leaves of autumn look so pretty in a close-up.
During my morning walk I noticed the leaves in yellow, orange and brown colours making a beautiful carpet. This is a rare scene created by the leaves both on the tree and on the street.
Among all my autumn photos, this is my favourite. It was a candid one. Captures the mood. What say you?

I love your CANDID Autumn picture with the leaf covered footpath. In Massachusetts Autumn, called Fall, is spectacular – depending on how wet the preceding Summer was. I just returned from Zambia – different hemisphere, opposite weather (peak summer now) and beauty of a different sort. Here are some pictures for you and your readers.
